Former Tottenham hero Dimitar Berbatov is reportedly nearing a move to Indian Super League club Kerala Blasters.
The former Bulgarian international Berbatov has been without a club since leaving Greek outfit PAOK at the end of the 2015/16 season.
Many believed that the 36-year-old would retire from professional football this summer. However it now appears that he could be playing in the India Super League.
If Berbatov does end up signing for the Cochin based club, he will link up with former Manchester United team-mate Wes Brown.
During his successful career, Berbatov has played for the likes of CSKA Sofia, Bayer Levekusen, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Fulham, Monaco and most recently PAOK.
The Indian League is one that is not as physically demanding as any elite European League and a move there will likely allow Berbatov to remain competitive, while it will also allow him to earn attractive wages.
