This Tuesday, August 15, 2017 (5:06 PM Pacific) Queretaro will host Pachuca at the Estadio Corregidora for a match in the fourth round of matches in the Copa MX. Both teams are coming off wins in the Liga MX and have four points in this Copa MX competition, the match should be very even and contested.

Queretaro had a 2-0 win against Sonora in the first week of this tournament and then had a scoreless draw against Pachuca away from home in week 3. Los Gallos are currently topping Group 8 on goal differential but are tied in points with second-place Pachuca. Jaime Lozano has led his team to seven points in the Liga MX and is coming off a 2-1 win against Monarcas Morelia.

Lozano has featured some key players in these Copa MX games like Javier Guemez and Camilo Sanvezzo. Camilo is likely to start in this game as he only had limited time in the game against Morelia and should be good to go for this match. Queretaro has a solid side and will count with the home support in this encounter but will be facing a very tough opponent.

Pachuca defeated Sonora 1-0 in its first match in the Copa MX and then had that scoreless draw against Queretaro the following week. Los Tuzos had been struggling in the Liga MX but picked up their first win this past week, a monumental 2-1 win against Tigres UANL.

The momentum from that tremendous win should propel Pachuca to a favorable result from this match. Diego Alonso seems to be ambitious in this tournament as he has already started players like Omar Gonzalez, Jorge Hernandez and Edson Puch. There is no clear winner heading into this game and the final result may be a deadlock between the two teams but the game should be a very hard-fought encounter.
