According to reports, Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck admires Everton boss Ronald Koeman and could be set to make a switch.
The Toffees are in search of a new striker who is a proven Premier League goal scorer after losing Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United this summer.
Welbeck has been on the books of the Gunners after leaving Manchester United in a £16 million deal. Due to injury and competition for places, he has been unable to play for than 25 times in any single season.
He is also set to slip down the club’s pecking order following the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette this summer.
Everton are looking at alternative options after Olivier Giroud decided against a move and Welbeck is said to be on their radar.
Should the 26-year-old Welbeck move to Goodisan Park, he will be reunited with former United team-mate Wayne Rooney, with whom he starred alongside during their three year stint together within the Red Devils first team.
