West Ham defender Arthur Masuaku appeared to be laughing at Romelu Lukaku just seconds before the Belgian international scored during the Red Devils 4-0 rout of the Hammers on Sunday.
Masuaku appeared to laughing at Lukaku while marking him ahead of a free kick that was taken by Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Just seconds later Lukaku scored, which could have likely taken the smile out of Masuaku’s face. United went on to thrash the Hammers thanks to a brace by Lukaku as well as goals Anthony Martial and Paul Pogba.
Thierry Henry said about the incident on Sky Sports, “I don’t like to single out players but look at Masuaku there. He’s laughing at Lukaku. Lukaku was not laughing.
“If you defend like this you’re going to get punished. You cannot defend like this. I know you’re playing in the Theatre of Dreams you cannot be day-dreaming like that.”
The result will be a blow to the Hammers and will put pressure on Slaven Bilic.
