Tyias Browning, who is on loan with Sunderland from Everton, has revealed that manager Simon Grayson has had a positive impact within the Black Cats dressing room.
He said of Grayson, “I think the manager’s brought a lot of positivity into the changing room and that’s what we needed, to be honest.
“There was a bit of chins on the chests, but that’s out the window now and we can push on. I’ve said before I knew a couple of the lads, so it was quite easy for me, to be honest.”
The 23-year-old Browning has quickly managed to establish himself as a regular within the Black Cats defence and partnered John O’Shea during the club’s 1-0 Carabao Cup win over Bury.
The Black Cats ended last season on a low after finishing in last place on the Premier League standings following as series of shambolic performances and will now be looking to earn promotion this term.
