Former Liverpool star Danny Murphy believes that Javier Hernandez will deliver for West Ham this season.
The 29-year-old Hernandez joined the Hammers this summer from German club Bayer Leverkusen and will be expected to bring goals to the side along with fellow new recruit Marko Arnautovic, who arrived from Stoke.
Hernandez will bring a winning mindset to the East London club, having won the Premier League twice with former club Manchester United during the 2010-11 season as well as the 2012-13 season.
He is also a proven goal scorer in the Premier League, having scored 59 goals from 157 games in all competitions for the Red Devils.
Murphy wrote of the Mexican international, “I have heard only good things about Javier Hernandez when I have spoken to people who have played with him.
“I am told he is obsessed with improving his game. He works at least as hard as everyone else and has a great ability to find scoring positions.
“He will get goals for West Ham — and you have to pay good money for that, even though, at 29, Hernandez is unlikely to get any better.”
