According to reports, Manchester United face competition from Inter Milan in the race to sign Tottenham defender Danny Rose.
Jose Mourinho is a fan of the England international and while the Red Devils have long been linked with the signature of the defender, their interest appears to have intensified over recent times.
Spurs reportedly value the 27-year-old Rose at around £50 million and it is difficult to see the North London club selling any of their well-known players easily, especially considering that they have yet to make a new addition to their side this summer. Also, Rose’s current deal with Spurs runs until 2021.
Rose may be tempted by a move to United as it will allow him to return to Northern England.
The player himself has admitted that the year-long loan spell which he spent with Sunderland was the happiest of his career as it allowed him to return to the part of the country.
That said, Inter Milan are also currently in the race and it will be interesting to see how the story develops.
