According to journalist Gregg Bakowski, Neymar’s arrival at PSG could be a blessing in disguise for Tottenham.
With the need to meet up with Financial Fair Play rules, the Ligue 1 giants have to let go of some of their stars, and Angel Di Maria could be one considering his value.
Bakowski reckoned the 29-year-old could be on the market within the region of £30million – £35million.
According to him, the Argentine could also fancy returning to the Premier League, with the feeling of having an unfinished business following his Manchester United nightmare still possibly being harbored.
The revered journalist believes Mauricio Pochettino could play a huge role in convincing his fellow Argentine to make a switch.
For such price, Di Maria would be a steal, and if he succeeds in putting his earlier EPL disappointments behind him, he could prove to be the signing of the season in a Spurs shirt.
The former Real Madrid winger has proven himself all over again at the Parc des Princes, and Barcelona are reportedly interested in having him move the other way to replace Neymar.
There are few players that can indeed improve Spurs’ starting XI – Di Maria is one of them.
Could a move for him be set in motion? Especially considering Ross Barkley’s £50million asking price?
Tottenham would have to be willing to make Di Maria one of their top earners if a fantasy move is to become a reality, though.
