According to reports, Tottenham have entered the race to sign Genoa striker Giovanni Simeone who is the son of Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone.
Spurs are currently looking for a top class striker to support Harry Kane up front next season as they look to end their trophy drought which has lasted since 2008.
In only in his season in the Serie A last term, the 22-year-old Simeone scored 13 goals and has a growing reputation in World football.
The North London club are now considering a swoop for the Argentine and it will be a good time to purchase the player considering that his value could escalate rapidly as he continues to develop as a player.
What could work in Spurs favor is the fact that their manager Mauricio Pochettino is also Argentinean just like Simeone and played alongside the youngster’s father during his days as a footballer.
