Koeman reportedly still does not want £13.5million attacker at Everton

As per a report from Daily Mail‘s live transfer feed on Thursday, the future of Everton outcast Oumar Niasse is yet to be decided.

Premier League new boys Brighton, though in pole position to land the Senegalese forward, aren’t willing to pay more than their £6million valuation of him.

Unwanted at Goodison Park by Toffees boss Ronald Koeman, Niasse spent the last 5 months of the season on loan at Hull City, but the Tigers’ relegation prevented them from activating a £10million permanent-buy clause included in his loan contract.

The 27-year-old arrived Everton for £13.5million in January on a four-and-half season deal, and the club are hoping to recoup some of that fee.

With Newcastle and Burnley earlier in the race for his signature, Brighton risk losing out if the duo decide to table more than £6million.

Everton are more than willing to see the back of Niasse as he’s clearly a persona non grata, so it’s very much likely they beat down their £10million asking price. Yet, they are keen on not completely recording a loss in his sales.

Whoever ends up with Niasse, though, will hope he does more than score 4 times in 22 Premier League games like he did combined for Everton and Hull City.
