Josh Onomah has joined Aston Villa on loan from Tottenham. The 20-year-old Onomah is rated as one of the brightest young prospects within the Spurs team and will look to test himself in central midfield for Villa, who will be targeting a promotion push this season.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has never sent Onomah on loan before due to a fear of exposing him to so-called lesser coaches.
Earlier this summer, Huddersfield, Brighton, Burnley as well as Scottish Premiership champions Celtic all made offers for Onomah which were rejected but Pochettino is now finally agreed to send the youngster out to Steve Bruce.
Onomah was mainly used out wide for Spurs last season and was not given an opportunity in the middle of the park. He managed to start just three names during the campaign.
Next season however, he will be likely to be handed regular playing time for Steve Bruce’s side and it will be a good opportunity for the youngster to continue growing.
