Tottenham’s first signing of the summer could be 25-year-old for just £2million

According to reports, Tottenham are set to make Paulo Gazzaniga their first signing of the summer.

The North London club will reportedly pay the Saints a fee in the region of £2million as they look to provide more competition to captain and first choice goalkeeper Hugo Lloris ahead of the new season.

Pochettino and Gazzaniga worked well together during their time at Southampton with the Argenitne manager labeling the goalkeeper as a star of the future whilst he was at the St. Mary’s Stadium.

The 25-year-old Gazzaniga spent last season on loan with Spanish club Rayo Vallecano in order to get more games under his belt.

With just two years left on his current deal with the Saints, the club will likely listen to offers for the Argentina international.

Should Gazzaniga move to Spurs, first team opportunities will be hard to come by though he will be a good backup option for the club.
