Swansea boss Paul Clement has admitted that Gylfi Sigurdsson could be set to become an Everton player over the next couple of days.
The Swans have rejected two offers from the Toffees for the Iceland international, the second bid believed to be in the region of £45 million, and talks are still ongoing between both clubs.
Clement confirmed that talks are still ongoing by saying, “Talks are still going on and hopefully we are going to get some news in the next couple of days.
“I hope it is done today, either way, whether that is selling or not but we need a quick resolution to the situation.”
Clement also added that the 27-year-old Sigurdsson will miss out on his club’s final pre-season match against Sampdoria as he sorts out his future. It is likely that Sigurdsson will want the move due to the lure of Europa League football.
