Newcastle United considering a loan move for Arsenal forward

Prior reports suggested a permanent move for Lucas Perez from Arsenal to Newcastle United but fresh reports from Evening Standard claim that the Magpies are unwilling to match the £13.4million asking price by the Gunners and preferring a loan move for 28-year old.

Reports also claim that Spanish side Deportivo La Coruna had a £9million bid rejected by Arsenal.

Lucas Perez has been quite disappointed with his life in London as he found it difficult to break through in the first team. His failure to impress Arsene Wenger has led to a lesser game time despite being a £17million signing for them.

However, Lucas scored 7 goals in 21 appearances for the Gunners in his single season at the Club, which was impressive considering his lack of game time.

The thoughtful part for Lucas is that the new £52million signing Alexandre Lacazette will surely be first-team starter for Wenger, consequently, much lesser game time.

In such a situation it will be a wise move for Lucas to make his move away from the Emirates Stadium, Newcastle’s St. James Park being one of the destinations.
