Slaven Bilic has revealed he is ready to slash more numbers from West Ham United’s squad.
Speaking to the reporters, the manager said, “Of course, only eleven or maybe 14 will think ‘I’m there’ probably, almost definitely, some players will notice that they are not regulars in the beginning of the season, so maybe a few of them will not be happy and some of them will ask for a move, so we’ve got to be ready for that.”
Bilic has been clear and direct in his approach two weeks before when they head to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United in their season opener.
Bilic claimed that he is already deciding on the strongest possible line-up for the new season. The process might leave some players disappointed as not all the players can make it to the first-team squad. In such a situation, Bilic want those left-out players to realise that they are no longer needed for the first team.
The four summer signings for West Ham United; Javier Hernandez, Joe Hart, Marko Arnautovic, Pablo Zabaleta are all sure shot first team players.
Last term West Ham United and their peers were left disappointed after a mid-table finish to the season, something that Bilic is desperate to change.
