Rangers reportedly hopeful of signing attacker following the rout over Sheffield Wednesday

Rumours linking winger Jamie Walker with Rangers remain as rumours as of now, as manager Pedro Caixinha refuses to neither corroborate nor deny considering the Hearts player.

According to Herald Scotland website, Caixinha refused to confirm the rumours around Walker becoming part of the Ibrox team.

24-year-old midfielder, Walker, has been targeted by Rangers for some time now and Hearts have rejected two earlier bids made by the Gers for the talented midfielder.

Their asking price of £1million is one of the reasons cited for the bids having failed, although the Jambos manager Ian Cathro contends that the price is low for the Gers. Walker has already decided to quit the team during the summer season, refusing to renew his contract with the club.

After a strong pre-season win against Sheffield Wednesday, the mood at Ibrox is upbeat and they may well cash in on the advantage by going ahead with the much anticipated signing of Walker, to gear up for the Premiership this summer.
