According to Telegraph the management and the official of Southampton will try to reinstall Virgil van Dijk into the first team shortly.
The newly appointed coach Mauricio Pellegrino is allegedly set to have a meeting with the Dutch international, and he is going to repeat his opinion about the possible transfer. Reportedly, Pellegrino doesn’t want to sell van Dijk at any price.
During the previous week, the 26-year-old started to train alone, while the rest of the team went to France. That came as a consequence of van Dijk’s request for a permit to leave the club.
Previously, Liverpool had shown interest in this player, but eventually, the club from Anfield backed off after Saints threatened with a lawsuit.
The Reds had made a direct contact with the player which is against the rules of the Premier League and will be careful not to do so once again this time around.
