Tottenham reportedly keeping eye on talented South American forward

According to Mundo Deportivo, Tottenham have Barcelona attacking midfielder Rafinho on their watchlist regarding a summer move.

Spurs aren’t alone in their desire to lure the Brazilian away from Camp Nou, though.

Fellow Premier League heavyweights Liverpool and Arsenal; Serie A giants and money-spenders AC Milan and Inter Milan are also keen on the 24-year-old.

Having suffered a campaign-ending knee injury last term, Rafinha is  currently on his road to full recovery, and hasn’t been able to partake in Barcelona’s pre-season games, although he’s with the squad.

In contrast to last season, it’s widely believed the Brazilian will likely not get to play regularly under new manager Ernesto Valverde next term.

The return of Gerard Deulofeu to the club will almost certainly hinder his playing chances; hence, an exit remains an option.

Rafinha won’t walk straight into Tottenham’s XI if he agrees to a move, though. But he has a fair chance of featuring regularly and even eventually breaking into the starting lineup.

Acquiring the services of the Brazilian could prove very valuable in the end for Spurs given his wealth of experience and flexibility. However, they do have a host of challengers to contend with for his signature.
