Pochettino says Dier being linked to Premier League giants is a positive

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that he considers the transfer links linking Eric Dier with a move to Manchester United to be “a good signal”.

Speculation suggests that the England international is open to a move to the Red Devils and that United manager Jose Mourinho is targeting him to be his holding midfielder.

However, Spurs are reluctant to part ways with their prized asset especially as the player is likely to form a key part of their plans for next season as they aim to challenge for major silverware.

Now in a surprising admission about Dier’s interest from Manchester United, Pochettino said, “That is a good signal for us, that other clubs are talking about our players. It means we have good players. But it’s rumours.”

The North London club have thus far, been one of the less active teams this summer, with the only significant transfer that they have made this season being of Kyle Walker, who they sold to Manchester City.
