This Saturday, July 29, 2017 (3:00 PM Pacific) Queretaro will host Lobos BUAP at the Estadio Corregidora for a match in the second round of the Liga MX Apertura 2017. Both teams are not expected to do much in this tournament but are in the relegation race for this season and should provide a contested clash.
Queretaro may exceed expectations in this competition under the leadership of Jamie Lozano. Los Gallos had an unexpected 1-0 win against Club America at the Estadio Azteca to start off the season and will look to continue the positive results. Camilo Sanvezzo scored the lone goal against Las Aguilas at the Azteca via a penalty and the Brazilian striker should be one to watch in this upcoming fixture.
The defense was very solid for Jaime Lozano with Miguel Martinez and Hiram Mier providing a rigid centre-back partnership. Queretaro could be a very surprising team this season and this is a game that it should be able to win especially in front of the home support.
Lobos BUAP had an exciting debut to their season, drawing 2-2 against Santos Laguna at home. The recently promoted team will be in a tough relegation race this season but does have a very intriguing team that may pull off a few surprises. Rafael Puente Jr. counts with experienced veterans like Carlos Adrian Morales and the club captain Francisco “El Maza” Rodriguez.
But also has some young and promising players like Luis and Julian Quinones and Pedro Arce who can be a force in the attack and in the build up play of the team. This should be an interesting season for Lobos BUAP and an interesting game between Queretaro and Lobos.
