Manager admits he would break world record transfer fee for Tottenham star

Harry Kane

English Premier League-winning manager Antonio Conte might have given a hint as regards Chelsea’s transfer plans for next summer following his latest admission.

The Blues boss says he would not hesitate to sign Tottenham’s striking sensation Harry Kane if he presented with the chance and not even a £100million asking price will stop him from doing so.

As reported by The Guardian, the Italian revealed that, “For me, Kane, now, is one of the best strikers in the world. If I had to buy one striker I would go to Kane. He is a complete striker…

“He’s one of the top strikers in the world. If you go to buy Kane now it would be at least £100m. At least. For me, if I see this price for a striker I know for sure he’s a big striker.”

Chelsea recently signed Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid for £65million, and are not looking to splash the cash on another striker.

In the past, back-to-back EPL highest goalscorer Kane, has been linked with Manchester United and Real Madrid, but has always insisted his future remains with the north London giants.

The England international signed a 5-year contract extension in December to back up his claims, and would hope his goals can help fire Tottenham to the top of the Premier League at the end of the upcoming season.

While Kane’s commitment to Spurs and unrivalled passion are noteworthy, a lack of titles in coming seasons could tempt him into considering an exit.

The club will have to win big soon if they are to prevent that from happening, and maybe some statement-of-intent signings can help.
