West Ham Striker reportedly leaves team’s Training Camp in Germany

Ashley Fletcher has reportedly left the Team’s training camp in Germany and flown back to England in order to complete his move to Middlesbrough, reports Standard Sport.

West Ham United are training in Germany for pre-season preparations, as the 21-year old Fletcher departs from the camp to sign for Boro. The Englishman joined the Hammers last summer from Manchester United.

The youngster has fallen out of favour at West Ham, as he failed to impress the manager, Slaven Bilic. Fletcher failed to net a single goal in 16 Premier League appearances last season. His first goal for the club was in the 4-1 loss against Manchester United in EFL Cup. Poor run of form saw him having a substitute’s role in Bilic’s side.

With the coming of ex-Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez from the Bundesliga and also the arrival of Marko Arnautovic from Stoke City, the gates have been left open for Fletcher to depart West Ham United, as he undergoes the medical at Middlesbrough.
