According to reports, Sunderland are set to complete the double signing of Lewis Grabban and Jason Steele.

Grabban reportedly underwent a medical on Monday ahead of a season long loan deal from Bournemouth while Steele was expected to undergo a medical on Monday.

Sunderland are without an experienced goalkeeper in their lineup after selling Jordan Pickford to Everton for £30 million and Vito Mannone to Reading for £2 million.

Currently they only have the inexperienced duo of Mika and Max Stryjek within their ranks, both of whom have yet to make their first team appearances. while Dutch international Robbin Ruiter is currently on trial with the club.

Steele joined Blackburn Rovers in 2014 and went on to make 105 appearances for the club. He will now have a good chance of signing the new season as the Black Cats first choice keeper.

Simon Grayson had indicated previously that he is looking to bring in two new keepers and Steele could well be one of them.
