Tottenham star Moussa Dembele has revealed that manager Mauricio Pochettino is a father figure to players within the club and that the presence of the Argentinian manager has led to players believing that they could do well next season.
Spurs will be aiming to end their nine year trophy drought next season and Dembele touched on the positivity of the club’s manager saying, “We concentrate on the team we have now. If the team stays like this, we know we that like last year we’re going to have a good season, we’re very positive.
“Our squad is like a family. It’s a very good thing to have a group that stays together and understands each other as well.
“The first year with the manager was different because it was a new philosophy, and now the last few years everybody understands what he means, everybody knows what to do.”
Spurs were heartbroken after narrowly missing out on the Premier League title during the past two consecutive seasons but will be looking to improve during the upcoming season.
