Following Hernandez’s arrival, West Ham reportedly plotting £22million move for another striker

According to reports, West Ham are pressing hard to sign £22 million rated Celtic star Moussa Dembele.

Following a disappointing season last term, the Hammers are working hard this summer in order to ensure that their results are improved next term.

Thus far they have managed to land Joe Hart, Marko Arnautovic, Javier Hernandez and veteran right back Pablo Zabaleta.

Dembele moved from Fulham to Celtic Park last summer and had a stellar first season with the Scottish giants, notching 32 goals from 48 appearances in all competitions to help the club to a domestic treble.

The Frenchman’s performances have seen him become linked with the likes of Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Arsenal and Everton during the past season.

To hint at a move for Dembele, Hammers co-chairman David Sullivan has indicated that the club are not done in the transfer market this summer and said, “We had a policy up to now to buy players for now, not tomorrow.

“We made a decision with the manager to buy players proven in the Premier League, who’ve been here before and are of an age where they’re not being bought for tomorrow but today.”
