West Bromwich Albion reportedly planning surprise £20million swoop for international attacker

Reports from The Sun claim that £30million Tottenham flop Moussa Sissoko is a wanted man at West Brom, as Baggies manager Tony Pulis is very keen on adding the 27-year-old France international to his ranks.

Sissoko made a deadline day switch to the north London club last summer after his Euros 2016 brilliance caught the eyes of manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Surprisingly, the former Newcastle man failed to impress at Spurs, starting just 8 EPL games and failing to score in 34 appearances across all competitions.

Tottenham are willing to let him go permanently for £20million as opposed to a loan move.

With no hopes of playing more regularly next season after being left out of Spurs preseason tour to the U.S, an exit looms for the French player who has been told by national team manager Didier Deschamps, that he needs regular football if he is to make it to Russia 2018.

Marseille have also shown interest in landing Sissoko, while a loan to Everton is being hinted at.

However, West Brom could emerge victorious in the race for his signature as they are offering a starting spot, Premier League football; which the player desires, and likely the transfer fees Tottenham demand.

Such a move looks beneficial to the player considering what he stands to benefit if it comes through.
