As per The Sun, Bundesliga side Cologne have eyes on Tottenham winger Georges-Kévin Nkoudou as regards a summer switch.
A move away from the north London giants looks very feasible as the club won’t hesitate to let him go if the right price is offered.
Having finished 30th in UEFA’s Best Player in Europe poll following his performances during the 2015-16 season at Marseille, Spurs signed the French player on an £11million 5-year deal last summer.
However, Nkoudou struggled to impress, neither scoring nor assisting as he made all his 8 EPL and 4 European appearances off the bench.
Considering he couldn’t make any impact last term, a move to Cologne offers the 22-year-old a chance to rediscover his form, and he would also get the chance to play European football at the German side following their 5th-place finish last term.
With Erik Lamela returning next term, and Son Heung-min also another quality option, cutting ties with Nkoudou would not hurt Tottenham, as his exit would rather give the club’s youth players a chance.
