West Ham reportedly confident of signing prolific international striker

According to reports, West Ham are confident that they will complete the signing of Javier Hernandez.

The Mexican international has been linked with a move to the London Stadium as Slaven Bilic looks to bolster his strikeforce ahead of the new season.

Hernandez has a five year spell with Manchester United from 2010 to 2015 and is a proven goal scorer in the Premier League.

He left the club to join German club Bayer Leverkusen in 2015 and has since scored 28 goals from 45 League appearances for the club.

Bilic was concerned about his team’s lack of pace and power in front of goal last season, however the arrivals of Marko Arnautovic and Hernandez could help improve the situation.

Bilic has already signed the experienced duo of Joe Hart and Pablo Zabaleta ahead of next season and the club look determined to try and improve upon their disappointing performance in the League last term.
