Everton reportedly plotting double swoop from Arsenal

Walcott

Ronald Koeman is looking to continue his spending spree by targeting Arsenal’s wide man Theo Walcott and forward Olivier Giroud, as he attempts to add more talented recruits to his side as Everton look to compete for a top four finish in the league, according to the Mirror.

Arsenal’s new record signing, Alexander Lacazette, has put doubts over Giroud’s involvement in Arsene Wenger’s plans for next season, while Walcott has been in and out of the side, with Oxlade Chamberlain given more preference since Arsenal’s formation change to 3-5-2.

Several reports have suggested Giroud is unlikely to join Everton as he might be off to Germany with Borussia Dortmund as they look to replace Chelsea target Pierre Aubameyang.

Everton attacker Ross Barkley is set to complete a move to Spurs by next week and an injury to Yannick Bolasie will see him out till the start of next year.

Thus, Koeman requires a wide player and £30 million rated Walcott appears to be his primary target. Although, the Toffees have kept their options open as they have made contact with Leicester City for Demerai Gray as well.
