According to reports, West Ham are hoping to complete a deal to sign former Manchester United star Javier Hernandez before the end of this week.
The Mexican international has been strongly linked with a move to the East London club this summer as the Hammers look to bolster their strike force.
Hernandez spent five years with United from 2010 to 2015 before moving to German club Bayer Leverkusen.
The 29-year-old reportedly is keen on a return to the Premier League and has a £13 million release clause in his contract with the German club which is a moderate price.
Hernandez is a proven goal scorer in the Premier League and will be a good addition to Slaven Bilic’s side especially considering that Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho disappointed many fans of the club last season.
During two seasons with Leverkusen, the striker has found the back of the net 39 times.
