According to reports, Eric Dier could push for a new contract with Tottenham amid speculation that Manchester United are interested in signing him this summer.
Spurs have insisted that Dier will not be sold this summer and the player is said to be content with the clubs stance.
After joining the North London club in 2014 from Sporting Lisbon, Dier has established himself as a key player for both Mauricio Pochettino’s side as well as the England national team.
Tottenham will surely not want to lose him as they aim to challenge for major silverware next season.
The current speculation is likely to lead Dier into pushing for a new contract. He currently earns £70 000, and United are likely to have offered him more.
Spurs will thus need to improve their terms with him in order to keep him settled at the club for the time being.
