Leeds United complete major signing; Debut set for Wednesday

After weeks of negotiating, Leeds United have finally signed Caleb Ekuban. The ex-Chievo Verona striker clinched a four-year deal with the Peacocks and has ended up making their fans happy.

The Ghanaian international showed excellent skills during the previous season while on loan. Ecuban was plying his trade at Partizani Tirana in Albania,  where he has played 42 games and scored 18 goals in total.

During his career, he has been on loan at three lower division Italian clubs FC Südtirol, AC Lumezzane, and AC Renate and he never got the chance to play for the first team of Cheval Verona, despite the fact that he spent seven years at Bentegodi stadium.

According to the official website of Leeds United, Ecuban could well make his debut for the Peacocks this Wednesday in a friendly match against North Ferriby United.

The club From Elland Road have added a decent replacement for Chris Wood, the top goalscorer of the Championship in the previous edition and it should be an exciting season ahead for the Whites.
