According to reports, West Ham are currently losing out in the race to sign Olivier Giroud from Arsenal as the Gunners are currently listening to other clubs over a possible sale.
Giroud was given limited opportunities last season and his future has been cast into further doubt following the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette at the club from Lyon.
In addition to competing with Lacazette, the French international may also have to compete with Danny Welbeck for a place in the first team.
Arsene Wenger’s side are now said to be listening to offers from Everton, Marseille, Lyon and West Ham for the 30-year-old Giroud, which is a blow for West Ham.
Wenger publically announced in April that he wishes for Giroud to remain at the Emirates Stadium and it may come down to personal choice if he stays or leaves this summer.
Regardless of whether he stays of leaves, Giroud will need to play regularly if he wishes to win a place in the France team for the 2018 World Cup.
