West Ham reportedly agree £6million deal for striker

According to sources close to Sky Sports, West Ham striker Enner Valencia is close to a move back to Mexico. The side being linked with the Ecuadorian is none other than big spenders Tigres, and they are said to be ready to pay “a fee between £6m and £7m.”

The Ecuadorian joined the Hammers from Pachuca in 2014 after scoring bundles of goals for the club. But he has only scored eight goals in the Premier League for the Hammers in 54 appearances, and he spent last season on loan at Everton.

This is a move that is necessary for West Ham. It isn’t one that won’t come with a little regret, though. Valencia isn’t a bad player, but things just haven’t quite worked out as well as they would have hoped. Room and funds are needed to expand the team and to better the side, so this is just going to have to be done.

With that said, this looks to be a good move for the player as he seeks a regular starting place and trophies to go along with it, as well as a possible World Cup place.
