Sunderland to reportedly challenge Brighton for Premier League attacker

According to reports, newly promoted Brighton and Hove Albion as well as Sunderland are interested in luring West Ham flop Robert Snodgrass.

After showing good form during the first half of last season with Hull City, Snodgrass earned himself a move to the Hammers in January.

He was expected to add quality to the side following the departure of Dimitri Payet but failed at the club and did not manage to find the back of the net.

Brighton will now be favorites as they can offer Snodgrass Premier League football and will also be able to meet his price of £8 million.

Although they are no longer in the top flight, Sunderland are also hoping to land Snodgrass as they look to add quality to their side and will hope that the fact that their manager Simon Grayson had worked together with the attacker at Leeds, will help in their quest to land the player.
