According to Bleacher Report, Tottenham are still in the pole position to capture the signature of highly-rated German defender Matthias Ginter.
As the sources in Germany are saying, Borussia Dortmund is willing to let the player leave, and the new coach Peter Bosz is preparing for a “life without Ginter.” As a matter of fact, Bosz has already brought in Omer Toprak, who will probably go ahead of Ginter in the pecking order.
Since the young German international has been virtually deemed surplus to requirements, it is no wonder that he is thinking of leaving the club.
Borussia Monchengladbach are also interested in his services, but it seems that Tottenham Hotspur are the “hottest” candidates for signing Matthias Ginter this summer.
The player is valued at around £15.6 million, and it remains to be seen if manager Mauricio Pochettino will bring in another perspective defender in addition to the likes of Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld.
