According to the Yorkshire Post, Leeds United left back, Charlie Taylor, is about to join Premier League side Burnley as his contract with the club has finally expired and there are no obstacles for him to leave Elland Road.
Taylor’s deal finished on June the 30th, and he is in a position to choose his new destination. After 14 years with the Peacocks, Taylor is about to make a major change. Due to this circumstance as well as the fact that he is less than 24 years, Burnley will have to compensate Leeds for the transfer.
The mentioned sum at the moment is around £5 million but the tribunal will have the final word.
In his career Taylor appeared 104 times and scored 3 goals for the Peacocks, becoming one of the vital parts for the Championship side in the past three years. Back in 2016, he was elected to be club’s player of the year.
If this deal goes through the Clarets will get a reliable and talented defender who will become a long-term solution for this position.
