Rangers vs Progres Niederkorn UEFA Europa League Qualifiers – Preview, TV Schedule June 29, 2017

This Thursday, June 29, 2017 (11:45 AM Pacific) Rangers will host Progres Niedorcorn at the Ibrox Stadium for a UEFA Europa League qualifying match. The match is the first of two legs and should produce a hard-fought encounter in Glasgow.

Rangers has been undergoing a transitional phase with former Santos Laguna manager, Pedro Caixinha taking over the team. The Portuguese manager has already signed eight new players and he said that he plans to start four of the fresh signings in this match. Bruno Alves and Daniel Candeias are unavailable for the match so that leaves just six of the eight fresh faces available.

It has already been announced that neither Eduardo Herrera or Carlos Pena will play in the game. The team from Scotland should easily win this game but it will be interesting to see how some of the latest additions perform even if Pena and Herrera will not get any action.

Progres Niederkorn hail from Luxembourg, a country that does not have a storied tradition of talented footballers. The side is relatively weak built of mostly players from Luxembourg and several French players as well. The clear standout player on the team is the midfielder, Sebastian Thill who has recently received calls to the Luxembourg national team. Rangers should be able to be able to get a few goals past the team from Luxembourg but the match should still produce an entertaining affair.
