Tottenham reportedly have to act quickly to complete bargain £2.6million signing

According to The Sun, Tottenham Hotspur could go after Carlos Alena, a talented Barcelona midfielder, and the Londoners are hoping to sign him on a bargain £2.6million deal.

The price tag for Alena will not be this low for long though and Spurs will have to act quickly if they want to acquire his signature. As a matter of fact, coming next month – the release clause for the player will be £10.5 million.

Alena is one of many La Masia prospects, but it is evident that the boy has bags of potential, and he made his debut for the first team in April against Granada.

A number of teams are interested in the young midfielder since he has only one year of contract left with the Catalans, but it remains to be seen how Ernesto Valverde plans to organize his team.

If Alena becomes surplus to requirements at Barcelona, Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino could benefit from the circumstances and bring the future star to North London.
