This Sunday, June 25, 2017 (8:00 AM Pacific) Germany will play Cameroon at the Olimpiyskiy Stadion Fisht in Sochi, Russia. Both teams are looking to advance to the next round of the competition and should provide a contested clash.
Germany is currently in second in Group B with four points and a goal differential of one. The European side defeated Australia 3-2 and tied against Australia 1-1 to get the four points that locate the team in second place. Joachim Low does not count with his best players for the competition and mostly has a young core of players with Julian Draxler captaining the side. Some other standouts from the team include Emre Can, Joshua Kimmich, Timo Werner and Marc-Andre ter Stegen. Germany should be able to win this game and advance comfortably to the semifinals of the competition.
Cameroon is an intriguing side, currently in last with a point and a negative two-goal differential. The African side was defeated 2-0 by Chile in the opening game and then tied 1-1 against Australia to get that lone point. Cameroon will need to win by at least two goals to advance to the semifinal, which is possible but will be a very tough task. The game should prove to be a very hard-fought duel with both teams wanting the three points from the encounter.
