As sources close to talkSPORT are claiming, Jean-Micheal Seri is involved in talks with Serie A giants AS Roma, who look to hijack the deal from the Spurs.
Barcelona has also shown interest in the player who enjoyed a successful campaign in France, where he helped Nice reach third place behind Monaco and PSG.
Because of these performances, top European clubs would gladly welcome Seri into their teams, but it seems that Tottenham will not be his pick during the summer transfer window.
The Ivory Coast international is tied to a contract with Nice until 2019, and even though Mauricio Pochettino is looking to strengthen his squad with his signing – Roma are reportedly much closer to signing Seri.
He is rated at £35 million, which may be the reason why Tottenham have cooled down their interest and are looking elsewhere for possible alternatives and reinforcements.
