Tottenham reportedly make moves to hijack Arsenal’s pursuit of central midfielder

According to reports, Tottenham are preparing to hijack a deal for Arsenal target Jean Michael Seri this summer.

The midfielder is reportedly highly valued by Arsene Wenger and was even said to be seen engaging in talks with Arsenal Chief executive Ivan Gazidis in Nice.

It appears that Spurs have now entered the race to sign Seri and the player may be tempted by a move to the North London club, especially considering that they will offer him the prospect of Champions League football next season.

The English duo will however have to face competition from Italian Serie A club Roma, who have reportedly made Seri a priority target ahead of next season.

It is likely that Seri will be leaving Nice this summer as he looks to join a club with a bigger financial muscle. The move in the end, will come down to whichever club wants him the most.
