International defender hails Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha

Rangers defender Myles Beerman has thanked manager Pedro Caixinha for helping his career to blossom this past season.

The 18-year-old Beerman’s performances for the Gers this past season earned him a call up to the Maltese national team. He will have good memories of his senior national team debut having been part of a Malta team that stunned Ukraine in Graz, Austria in a friendly international.

Beerman was full of praise for his club manager Caixinha, who handed him game time for the first team this past season by saying, “I started the season with Manchester City and things were going well. I was enjoying my football. Then I came down in September for international duty with Malta and my agent rang me… he said ‘listen Rangers are interested’.

“It was transfer deadline day, so I had to make a decision there and then. I took the decision, I thought that it’s a stepping stone to eventually reach first-team football. It was a challenge for me, so I thought I would just take it and the last two months of the season, it came out positive for me. The gaffer gave me a chance and I took it. I did really well.

Rangers fans will hope that the experience that Beerman gets from his international duties will benefit the side going into the future.
