According to reports, Giuseppe Bellusci will not return to Leeds United this summer after his loan with Italian club Empoli in Italy’s Serie A this past season.
Though Bellusci did not enjoy the best of seasons with Empoli as they were relegated from the Serie A, he is reportedly keen on extending his stay in his native Italy with Bologna said to be interested in signing him ahead of next season.
Bellusci joined the Whites in 2014 from Italian side Catania and during his time with the club made 61 appearances scoring two goals in the process.
Bellusci was apparently unhappy at the club and it appears that the club sees no future for him as well.
Therefore it is best for both club and player that Bellusci stays in Italy. He also struggled to win over the support from large sections of the Yorkshire club’s fans and was widely criticized for his errors.
