Former Arsenal star Paul Merson has said that he feels that Tottenham forward Harry Kane is a better footballer than Manchester United’s Paul Pogba.
Kane enjoyed a stellar season during 2016/17 winning the Premier League golden boot by scoring 29 goals from just 30 appearances.
The 23-year-old Kane has been linked with a move to United in the past and Merson feels that he would be a better signing than Pogba as he has already proven that he can perform on a regular basis in the Premier League.
He said, “I think if you’re paying £90m for Pogba, I think Harry Kane could take a bid. The problem with Man Utd is they’ve got to buy players that are proven in the Premier League.
“I thought Pogba was going to be a great player but you don’t want to bring players in where it’s going to take a year for them to settle.”
Kane is unlikely to leave Spurs anytime soon as he continues to try and win major silverware with his boyhood club.
