West Ham and Everton reportedly compete to sign 29-year-old German international

According to reports, West Ham and Everton are set to compete for the signature of Werder Bremen striker Max Kruse.

The 29-year-old Kruse impressed in the Bundesliga this season by scoring 15 goals which helped Bremen finish in eighth position.

In addition to his goals, he has also contributed several assists for his side to prove that he is a top class attacker.

Werder will not offer Kruse the opportunity of playing European football next season he may favor a move to a team that will allow him to play in Europe, especially at this stage of his career.

According to reports, Kruse may also be able to be priced away for a fee off around £11.3 million, which is a bargain for a quality striker.

With Romelu Lukaku set to depart, Everton are looking for strikers to add to their squad and Kruse will be a good addition.

West Ham are also looking to add in new forwards after inconsistency from Diafra Sakho and Andy Carroll this past season.
