Ex-Crystal Palace chairman does not want former Leeds boss at Selhurst Park

Former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan has blasted Leeds United claiming that the club started “choking at the business end of the season”.

In addition to this, Jordan also claimed that Gary Monk, who recently quit as manager of the Yorkshire club, is not as yet ready to manage in the Premier League.

Many fans and pundits praised the work Monk did with Leeds this season as he led them to a seventh place finish in the Championship, one place below the playoff positions.

However, for a large part of the season, the Whites did look as if they were going to make the promotion playoffs before a late season slump in form led to that not happening.

After leaving Leeds last week, Monk has become the favorite to be appointed as the new Crystal Palace manager. Jordan is however not happy about the rumors linking the former Swansea boss with his former club.
