According to reports from Marca, West Ham’s recently released loanee Jonathan Calleri is a target of Spanish La Liga club Malaga.
The 23-year-old Calleri made 18 appearances for the Hammers this season, scoring just one goal and failing to impress which ultimately led to the club’s decision to release him.
Many fans had expected the Argentina international to deliver for the Hammers as during the previous season to joining, he claimed 14 goals from 30 League games for his club. It came as no surprise that West Ham have decided to release the striker.
Calleri is currently on the books of notorious Deportivo Maldonado, and the Uruguayan team will only sell the striker once they get a price which is more than what they paid to lure him.
Los Boquerones are looking to recruit new strikers as they prepare for the departure of Sandro Ramirez, who is expected to leave the club this summer after scoring 14 goals from 30 League appearances.
