West Ham reportedly planning to sign 25-year-old Ligue 1 attacker

Toulouse forward Martin Braithwaite is reportedly a target of West Ham. The East London club also expressed interest in signing the Danish international last summer but ended up pulling out of a move at the end.

The Hammers are keen to add in new strikers to their squad this summer after enduring disappointment in front of goal this season due to inconsistency and the injury problems of Diafra Sakho and Andy Carroll.

Braithwaite has churned out some impressive performances this season and scored 11 goals in Ligue 1, which has attracted interest from Southampton and West Ham.

Should West Ham sign Braithwaite, he could be good value for money as he is likely to not command a high fee. The club will also be able to afford to bring in additional forwards should they sign the 25-year-old Braithwaite.

In addition, Braithwaite will add much needed versatility to the Hammers lineup as he is capable of playing as a winger and centre forward.
