West Ham reportedly ready to offer £140,000-a-week to sign star attacker

According to reports, West Ham are willing to double the wages of Everton star Ross Barkley in order to convince him to join their club.

Barkley is likely to be sold by the Toffees this summer after failing to meet the end of season deadline to sign a new contract. Slaven Biic’s team are reportedly offering Barkley £140,000 a week.

After a disappointing season for the Hammers, Bilic is looking to sign quality talent to improve the performances of his team. The East London club have already signed veteran defender Pablo Zabaleta, who was released by Manchester City and have also been linked with the signature of Kelechi Iheanacho.

Barkley is a proven performer and will add much needed depth to the West Ham squad should he join.  The Hammers will have to compete against the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham in the race to sign Barkley.

The wages that West Ham are offering will however make Bilic’s team strong contenders to sign the player.
